SPRINGWATER, N.Y. Authorities in western New York are investigating the
death of a hunter who was shot while deer hunting with relatives yesterday.
R-News in Rochester says 61-year-old George Delucia of Fairport was
killed in the Livingston County town of Springwater, about 40 miles south of
Rochester.
Police believe a member of his hunting party accidentally shot him while
aiming for a deer.
Delucia died at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
No charges have been filed in the case so far.
The Department of Environmental Conservation is investigating the
incident.
