HUNTER SHOT AND KILLED NEAR ONEIDA DAM

Saturday, December 04, 2004

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

A hunter was shot and killed in an apparent hunting accident in Oakland Township, KDKA-TV reported.

William Campbell, 45, was hunting along Route 38 near the Oneida Valley Dam around 10 a.m. yesterday when a bullet struck him in the chest.

Officials with the Pennsylvania Game Commission are investigating and would not comment on the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

It was the second fatal hunting accident in the past week. On Tuesday, an Armstrong County man was shot and killed by his father near Sugarcreek.
