DES MOINES MAN KILLED DURING HUNTING INCIDENT OVER WEEKEND

ELKHART, Iowa A Des Moines man has died in a hunting incident at the Chichaqua Wildlife Area in central Iowa.

Iowa Department of Natural Resources officials say the body of 44-year-old Gerald Williamson was discovered by another group of hunters at about 1:30 p.m. yesterday (Saturday).

A preliminary investigation showed he was pheasant hunting at the time of the incident, which the D-N-R says is being investigated as an accident.
