SOMERVILLE A Somerville was in Huntsville Hospital on Sunday
after he was accidentally shot in the groin.
Morgan County Chief Deputy Mike Corley said the shooting occurred
on Rock Ledge Road on Saturday night at about 11:50.
Corley said the man and his hunting partner were inspecting weapons
when the victim reached for a 20-gauge and it fired accidentally.
A helicopter took the victim to Huntsville Hospital. There was no
word from the hospital on his condition. Corley said the victim
underwent surgery and hospital officials were, "giving a pretty good
report on him."
