Man To Recover After Shot On Hunting Trip

Saturday October 22, 2005 3:59pm Posted By: Stephanie Price

Chester - A 79-year-old Chester man is recovering after being shot in the neck on a hunting trip.

It happened Friday morning in Crawford County just north of Chester. That was where officials say Bill Norville was hunting with a friend when his friend shot him in the neck.

Authorities say they are investigating the incident, but believe it was just an accident.

Norville and his friend had been hunting together for nearly 30 years. Police say this accident likely occurred due to the lack of visibility in the woods at the time.
