A Tulsa teen is dead, the victim of a hunting accident over fall
break.
14-year-old Coty Evans died after a shotgun his friend was carrying
accidentally went off in Cherokee County. Coty was hit in the upper
shoulder.
Officials say the boy was holding a 20 gauge shotgun while walking
through high weeds and brush. The boy was using the butt of the gun to
move weeds when the gun accidentally discharged.
