A 9-year-old girl was accidentally shot during the first day of
firearm deer season in Indiana, on Saturday.
Authorities say the girl slipped and fell while walking up a steep
incline near Carefree, Ind., causing her shotgun to fire, striking her
in the shoulder.
She was taken to Kosair’s Children’s Hospital in Louisville, where
she was in critical condition Saturday night.
