Hunter fatally shot in Isabella County; second found dead

FREMONT TOWNSHIP, Mich. A 56-year-old Blanchard man has died after apparently accidentally shooting himself in the chest while hunting alone in Isabella County.

Michigan State Police Dennis Riley was found dead by his wife Thursday night after he didn't come home on time.

Police say it looks like Riley's rifle discharged when he slipped and fell.

Meanwhile, the sheriff's department says an 82-year-old Cadillac man was found dead in his hunting blind yesterday in northern Isabella County.

Authorities say the man appears to have died of natural causes.
