Teenager shot and killed in Thanksgiving hunting incident

Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a 13-year-old boy who was shot while hunting on Thanksgiving with family members in a wooded area off Route 42 in Sparrowbush in the Town of Deerpark.

State Police at Middletown reported this evening that David Kingston of Huguenot was rushed to Bon Secours Hospital in Port Jervis where he died.

The shooting remains under investigation by State Police, Town of Deerpark Police and state Department of Environmental Conservation officers.
