(Westminster-AP) December 30, 2005 - Authorities say a Westminster
man is dead after a fellow hunters shot him in the chest.
Investigators from the state Natural Resources Department says a
group of seven people were deer hunting Friday morning. They say that
Will R. Lee was shot once in the chest with a 12-gauge shotgun.
Lee was taken to Oconee Memorial where he was pronouced dead.
Natural Resources says it is still investigating.
DNR says the hunters were not wearning orange, although they were
not required to. The agency says hunters should always wear something
orange when they are in the woods.
