Man fatally shot while hunting

DOUGLAS COUNTY

An Ava man was killed Tuesday morning in a hunting accident, the Douglas County Sheriff's Department reported Wednesday.

Edward Dean Bray, 57, was hunting in eastern Christian County near the Douglas County line when when he was accidentally shot by another hunter, the Sheriff's Department said. The Douglas County department investigated the shooting because the 911 call came from Douglas County.

A department press release did not say who shot Bray. Dispatchers said no one was available Wednesday night to provide more information.
