Deer hunter killed in fall

A 45-year-old Glenwood man died after apparently falling from a tree stand while deer hunting on Thursday.

Michael E. Crain, 45, was reported missing at 9:57 p.m. Thursday and was discovered under his tree stand located near the Missouri River in Fremont County at approximately 10:30 p.m.

The incident remains under investigation by the Fremont County Sheriff's Department and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
