CLIMAX, Minn. - A Moorhead man was recovering Monday after his
daughter accidentally shot him while hunting deer, authorities said.
Joe Ingvalson hunted with his daughter, father and brother over
the weekend near Climax when he was shot after the hunting party
scared up an injured doe Sunday evening.
The bullet from the daughter's rifle hit Ingvalson in his left
shin, exiting the other side on a downward path. The bullet then
ricocheted upward and lodged in his inner right thigh. Ingvalson's
father drove him to a hospital in Crookston.
