DETROIT LAKES, Minn. - An 18-year-old hunter is dead after
accidentally shooting himself near Detroit Lakes.
Becker County Sheriff Tim Gordon says the man was hunting by
himself 12 miles north of Detroit Lakes when he slipped on ice
covering a small pond.
The man's rifle went off - striking him. Family member found the
victim shortly after 10 a.m. on Sunday. His name has not been
released.
