ANSON, Maine -- The Maine Warden Service and the Somerset County
District Attorney's Office will be investigating an incident in
Anson in which one of three deer hunters armed with muzzle-loading
rifles was shot in the abdomen.
Officials said Dwayne Pullen, 39, of North Anson, was transported
to a Skowhegan hospital with injuries that were not believed to be
life-threatening.
Warden service spokesman Mark Latti said a bullet fired by
hunting companion Russell Booker, of Anson, passed through Pullen's
abdomen without hitting any organs.
