MN - Man dies after being shot while hunting coyotes

FARIBAULT, Minn. - A 26-year-old Jordan man died when he was shot while hunting coyotes about five miles west of Webster.

The Rice County Sheriff's Office said the shooting happened about midday Saturday. The man was part of a 10-person hunting party.

His name was not immediately released. He died at the scene from his wounds.

An autopsy was being conducted and Rice County officials were investigating, according to a news release. Details on who shot the man or how the shooting happened were not immediately available.
