The deer hunting season began in North Daktoa at noon today - and
we've had our first report of what appears to be a hunting-related
injury.
An official with the Minot Police Department has confirmed a man
driving on Highway 83 near the Glenburn turnoff was hit in the leg by
a stray bullet around 5 o'clock this afternoon.
The man was able to drive to just north of Minot, where he pulled
over, was picked up by an ambulance and taken to Trinity Hospital.
There's no word yet on his condition.
Officials with the Bottineau County Sheriff's Department are
investigating the incident, but were not available to provide the name
of the person injured in the accident. We hope to have more
information for you tomorrow on KX News at six.
