TOWN OF BURNETT — A Hubertus man shot in the foot by his hunting partner Saturday remains hospitalized.

David A. Hall was listed in fair condition Monday afternoon at University Hospital and Clinics in Madison, a hospital spokesman said.

Hall, 42, was hunting near Tower Road in the town of Burnett when Jay H. Onisch, 53, of Milwaukee, shot him, according to a Dodge County Sheriff’s Department dispatch log. Hall was transported to Waupun Memorial Hospital by Horicon EMS and later transferred to Madison.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will investigate the shooting.
