Since deer hunting season began earlier this month, there are have
been two accidents reported by state Fish and Game. In both cases the
injuries were accidentally self-inflicted.
Last Thursday, a Meredith man, John A. Hurd, sustained a
self-inflicted wound in an incident that occurred in the area of Ahern
State Park in Laconia where he was deer hunting with his father and
nephew.
Ten days earlier, James White of Lisbon suffered a self-inflicted
wound as he was attempting to reload his muzzleloader rifle while deer
hunting.
