Audubon Man Injured While Deer Hunting
December 10, 2007--A western Iowa man got minor injuries over the
weekend while deer hunting in Guthrie County.
42-year-old Todd Lawshe of Audubon was hunting Saturday near Elk
Grove when he was hit by a deer slug fired by another hunter. That's
according to Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
DNR officials say the other hunter was shooting over the crest of
a hill at a wounded deer on one side of a county road and wasn't
aware of Lawshe and others hunting.
Lawshe was treated at a clinic for a two-inch abrasion and bruise
on his chest.
Officials say they continue to investigate.
