Boy Dies In Hunting Accident

A community in Lawrence County, Kentucky, is shocked.

A 14-year- old boy died in a hunting accident Sunday.

Ryan Hawkins lived near Blaine, Kentucky, but he was on a hunting trip in Letcher County, Kentucky.

Police say the boy accidentally shot himself while out in the woods Sunday afternoon.

His viewing is Monday night in Louisa, Kentucky.

Ryan's funeral is Wednesday morning at the Blaine Elementary School gym.

Ryan was in the 8th grade.
