Man killed in hunting accident

FENTON, Mo. | The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department is
investigating a hunting accident that led to the death of a
23-year-old man.
Police say a 49-year-old man shot and killed the other hunter Dec.
12, when he mistook the victim for a deer in Fenton. They say they
have ruled out foul play, but are looking into the matter to see
whether charges should be filed. The sheriff’s department has not
released the men’s names.
Jefferson County is just south of St. Louis.
