Hunting accident claims life
A duck hunting accident on Saturday morning resulted in the death of
a Delaplaine man, according to Randolph County Sheriff Gary Tribble.
Terry Murray, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene when officials
arrived in a section of duck woods located in the area of Gumbo Road
in Randolph County where the incident was reported to have happened.
Murray was well-known in Lawrence County, and his
wife, Stephanie, is a teacher at Walnut Ridge High School. In
addition, his brother, Christopher, is a coach and teacher at Hoxie
High School.
According to Tribble, the incident is still under
investigation by the Randolph County Sheriff's Department and the
Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. today at
McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas.
