February 03, 2008 7:44 PM

LAGRANGE - A 50-year-old East Fishkill man was shot in the abdomen during a hunting trip yesterday morning, the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office said.

Police found the man, who was hunting with two other people, in a wooded area off of Emans Road. The man, whose identity was not released, was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center.

An initial investigation suggests the shooting may have been accidental, authorities said.
