KS - Woman killed in apparent hunting accident

A 66-year-old woman was shot and killed today in what appears to have been a hunting accident in rural Sumner County.

The Sumner County sheriff's Office said the woman died at the shooting scene in a rural area near the town of Milan. The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks is assisting with the investigation.

The victim's name was not released.
