Teen dies in hunting accident

ROWESVILLE, S.C. - Officials are investigating the death of a teen in
an apparent hunting accident near Rowesville on Thursday evening.
The 16-year-old was walking through the area when he was shot by
someone between 6 and 7 p.m., according to S.C. Department of Natural
Resources Lt. Robert McCollough.
The teen, whose name was not released Thursday evening, was
apparently hunting when the incident occurred, McCollough said. But
details were still being pieced together by officials.
The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office, Coroners Office, Emergency
Medical Services and Emergency Services all responded to the scene.
