HELENA, Mont. (AP) - A 24-year-old Broadwater County man remains
hospitalized after he was shot in the face while hunting over the
weekend.
Susan Gregg-Hanson is a spokeswoman for Harborview Medical Center in
Seattle. She said yesterday (Tuesday) that Luke Keuffer was listed in
serious condition.
Meagher County Undersheriff Jon Lopp says Keuffer was shot Sunday
morning with a hunting rifle. He declined to release further details
because the case is under investigation.
The shooting occurred in the Blacktail drainage off Confederate
Gulch. That's according to an earlier report by Broadwater County
Sheriff Brenda Ludwig.
Broadwater County deputies responded to the initial call at about 8
a.m. But the Meagher County Sheriff's Department is handling the
investigation because the shooting occurred in that county.
