Hunter Killed After Falling From Tree Stand Sunday, November 2, 2008
CARROLL COUNTY, Ohio -- A hunter, who never returned home from a day
in the woods on Saturday, was found dead late Saturday night in Carroll
County after reportedly falling out of a tree stand.
The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Kevin Shaw of
Massillon, Ohio.
"He was supposed to be home at 1:30 and he didn’t show up. The father
had tried to call him on his cell phone, but was unable to get a hold of
him. That’s what prompted his father to start looking for him, because
he figured there was a problem," said Carroll County Sheriff Dale
Williams
Deputies said the victim was in a tree stand on Canyond Road in Union
Township. That’s where the found his body suspended 20-feet above the
ground.
