OR: Teen Accidentally Shoots Self While Hunting

At 9:17 this morning, members of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office
and other emergency response agencies were called to Heppsie Mountain,
half a mile south of the 19000 block of Highway 140 in Butte Falls.
It was reported that a 16-year-old male received an accidental,
self-inflicted gunshot wound to his left calf while hunting with his
father.
The teenager was treated on scene and air lifted by Mercy Flights to
Providence Medical Center in Medford for further medical care.
