NY: ONE-YEAR-OLD shot in hunting accident

SWAN LAKE -- State Police in Liberty and officers of the state Department of Environmental Conservation are believed to be investigating the shooting of a child, said to be -1-year-old, in a hunting related incident this afternoon in Sullivan County.

The child was reported to be in a residence on Horseshoe Lake Road at the time of the incident. The child has been airlifted to Westchester Medical Center for treatment. The circumstances of the incident and the name of the person who fired the shot were not yet available.
