Woman Recovering After Hunting Accident Woman's Gun Accidentally Goes

BRUSHTON, N.Y. -- A Franklin County woman is recovering after her gun
accidentally went off while she was hunting.
Police said Cree Landis, 25, of Brushton, was hunting in a wooded
area off River Bend Avenue on Sunday afternoon when her Remington 308
discharged.
Landis was wounded in the abdomen and taken to a hospital, where she
went into surgery, investigators said.
Police said that her injuries are not life-threatening.
