Martinsville Man Injured in Deer Hunting Accident

A Martinsville man who went deer hunting Saturday ended up at
Methodist Hospital after accidentally shooting himself with his
muzzleloader.
The Department of Natural Resources says 29 year-old James Dewey of
Martinsville was shot in his hand, stomach and shoulder when he stepped
off a tree stump and onto his gun's hammer at the Morgan Monroe State
Forest. Dewey was transported to Methodist Hospital and is in stable
condition.
