Texas Man Impaled In Freak Hunting Accident
(November 27, 2008)--Authorities are awaiting the results of an
autopsy ordered in the death of a Texas man who slipped and fell on a
stake while refilling a deer feeder in the back of his truck.
Victoria County Sheriff's officials Ashley Lehmann, 35, of Spring
died after he was impaled on a stake used to support the feeder.
Another hunter found Lehmann dead at about 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Justice of the Peace Henry Welfel ruled Lehmann's death an accident,
but an investigation is ongoing.
The autopsy will be conducted at the Travis County Medical Examiner's
Office to determine the exact cause of death.
The results could take up to a month.
