STEWARTVILLE -- A Stewartville man was in fair condition Monday at
Saint Marys Hospital after he was accidentally shot while deer hunting
Sunday afternoon.
The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office said Charles Paulson, 46, was
shot while hunting with a party of six in the 9800 block of 80th Street
Southwest in Rock Dell Township.
The department said he was taking part in a drive through an area,
and his 13-year-old nephew was posted at the end to shoot any deer the
others pushed toward him. When a deer came out, the boy shot and missed
the deer, but hit his uncle in the upper-right thigh.
