VA: Teen shot while hunting

Teen shot while hunting in Franklin County

A 15-year-old boy was shot while hunting in Franklin County.

It happened around 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Boones Mill Road area of Franklin County. The teenager was shot in the shoulder and is recovering at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. His injuries don't appear to be life-threatening.

Authorities say the Franklin County High School student accidentally shot himself while hunting.
