Child Wounded In Shelby Co. Hunting Accident

SHELBY COUNTY, Ohio -- Shelby County deputies and game wardens from
the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife are
investigating a report of a child wounded in an apparent hunting
accident Saturday afternoon in Shelby County.
Houston Rescue Squad and deputies were dispatched to 12181 E.
Lockington Rd. near Lockington in mid afternoon on a report that an
8-year-old boy was shot.
CareFlight from Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton was called by
paramedics but, due to the snowy weather conditions, the medical chopper
was unable to fly.
The boy was rushed to Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney.
Other details are lacking as deputies and wildlife officers
investigate the shooting.
