Man shot, killed in Juneau Co. hunting accident

MAUSTON - A 39-year-old hunter has died from a fatal gunshot wound after his firearm discharged.

It appears the Mauston man was accidentally shot, Juneau County Sheriff Brent Oleson said.

Authorities received the call at about 7 p.m. Saturday in the town of Lindina.

The incident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Juneau County authorities, Oleson said.

The man's name hasn't been released.
