Investigation continues in teen's death

YOAKUM - Deputies are investigating how an apparent hunting accident
that killed a 16-year-old girl Monday happened. Kirstin Wenske died of a
gun shot to the head, Justice of the Peace George Robinson said. He will
rule on whether or not the death was accidental after DeWitt County
Sheriff's deputies complete their investigation, he said.
Witnesses were interviewed by deputies Monday night at the scene, but
investigators will talk to them again starting Wednesday, Chief Deputy
John Oglesby said.
All investigators know now is Kirstin died during night time hog
hunting trip on a ranch southwest of Yoakum off Farm-to-Market Road
3010, Oglesby said.
