Tallahassee teen is released from the hospital Monday after he was
accidentally shot while hunting.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says
19-year-old Austin Scheiv was shot Saturday afternoon around 5 o'clock
while quail hunting on Horseshoe Plantation in Tallahassee.
Officials say 52-year-old Dennett Jackson accidentally shot Scheiv in
the upper left chest with a round of bird-shot.
Scheiv was admitted to the intensive care unit at Capital Regional
Medical Center when it was discovered that one pellet had punctured his
lung.
