...There have been at least three fatal shootings in the Big Country
involving youngsters this year. In May, Jesse White, 12 of Breckenridge, was
fatally shot by another boy who was playing with a rifle in the home where
he was staying. Adam Garcia, 18, of Breckenridge, was fatally wounded in a
hunting accident in April, when a gun apparently went off, striking Garcia
at close range. Aaron Salinas, 10, of De Leon, was shot and killed in early
January by his 16-year-old brother playing with a gun he thought was not
loaded.
