Bow Hunter Injures Back and Head in Isabella County Fall
10/5/2009
A bow hunter unable to walk when he fell from his tree in Isabella County
managed to use his cell phone to call for help.
The hunting accident happened Sunday night just before 7:30 near
Millbrook Road in Union Township.
Deputies say Cory Zielinski of Saginaw fell from his tree stand and hurt
his head and back and couldn't walk. Zielinski called for help and his
hunting companion found him and he was taken to the hospital. He was not
wearing a safety harness.
The Isabella County Sheriff urges bow hunters to use a safety harness. He
says by using the proper equipment, these types of accidents can be avoided.
