NE: Trapper shoots himself

November 9, 2009

One Person is Wounded in a Rural Nebraska Shooting

A man was shot outside Maskell, Nebraska just before 6 Monday night.

A neighbor close to the scene told KMEG 14, two brothers from Obert were trapping in a field north of Highway 12. One of the them was carrying a pistol, which accidentally discharged, shooting him in the stomach. The neighbor told us the brothers then came to his house to call for help. The brother who had been shot was life-flighted to Mercy Medical Center.
