NY: Hunter falls from tree

Man falls from tree while hunting in Pomfret

POMFRET-An Amherst man was injured at about 5:20 p. m. Wednesday when he fell from a tree while hunting off Glasgow Road, Chautauqua County sheriff's deputies said.

Daniel Ohar, 60, was attempting to climb down a tree stand and stepped onto a branch that broke, dropping him 25 feet to the ground. Ohar, who was able to contact 911, was flown to Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo. His condition was unavailable late Wednesday.
