Montfort man hospitalized after hunting accident
WINGVILLE TOWNSHIP (WKOW) -- The Grant County Sheriff's Department says a
man fell 30 feet out of a tree while bow hunting Sunday evening.
At about 7:30 a.m. Monday morning, Grant County 911 received a call for
rescue in rural Montfort. Tom Bollant had been bow hunting Sunday afternoon
when he fell out of a tree. He was not able to walk, so he stayed on the
ground overnight.
Grant County EMS and a Med Flight crew responded to the scene. Bollant
was taken to a landing zone on Ebenezer Road and was then flown to UW
Hospital in Madison. He suffered serious injuries in the fall.
