Boy shot during Morgan County hunting trip
A boy was hospitalized Thursday evening after being in Morgan County.
MORGAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) – A boy was hospitalized Thursday evening after
being in Morgan County.
Few details have been released, but Morgan County authorities confirmed
the boy was shot around 6:00 p.m. in Lancing.
Reports from the scene indicated it happened while the 15 year old was
hunting with family members in a wooded area near the intersection of
Genesis Road and Big John Road. He was apparently shot in the face, and
family members rushed him to the nearby Williams Market & Deli to meet up
with responding paramedics.
Authorities haven’t said what type of gun was used or the extent of the
boy’s injuries.
