Newtonsville Man Shot In Deer Hunting Accident
A Newtonsville Ohio man was shot by his son Tuesday evening in a deer
hunting accident at 4613 Byers Rd. in Monroe Township.
The Richland County Sheriff's Office says John Middleton, 46, was driving
out a deer for his 11-year-old son when he heard a gunshot. He felt a sharp
pain in his abdomen and realized he had been shot.
Middleton was taken to MedCentral Mansfield Hospital where he remains in
serious condition in the intensive care unit. The sheriff's office says the
shooting was an accident and no charges will be filed.
