Goldsboro teen shot while hunting deer

Nashville, N.C. - A Goldsboro teenager injured in a hunting accident on Saturday is expected to be OK.

Braxton Hood, 14, was hunting deer with his 58-year-old father, Danny, in the Momeyer area of Nash County when a bullet from the father's weapon ricocheted off a deer and hit the teen in the forehead, according to Lt. John Reams of the state Wildlife Resources Commission.

The teen was transported to WakeMed where the pellet was removed. He was recovering at home Sunday.
