Name released of man killed in hunting accident
HARTFORD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Officials have released the name of the man
killed in a hunting accident in Hartford Township on Saturday.
Fifty-six-year old William Eckart of Custer-Orangeville Road died of a
gunshot wound to the head.
Officials say a family member found the victim below a tree stand. His
shotgun, found nearby, had been discharged.
An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday and officials are awaiting the
coroner's report for additional details.
Eckart is believed to have been the only hunting related death in Ohio
this year.
