Sherriff And DNR Investigating Hunting Accident In Clare County
The DNR and the Clare County Sheriff's Office are looking into the
accidental shooting of a hunter.
The man shot himself while setting up a tree stand Saturday in Clare
County.
Deputies say Charles Reed of Houghton Lake was pulling his weapon with a
line attached to the trigger guard to get it to his tree stand, when the
loaded weapon fired, hitting Reed in the ankle.
Reed is being treated at a Flint hospital.
