Congregants mourn Alabama pastor who drowned in Arkansas while duck
hunting
MILLPORT, Ala. -- People who knew the 25-year-old pastor Matthew T.
Miller, who drowned Saturday in a boating accident while hunting with his
father and six others on the White River in Arkansas, are remembering Miller
for his charisma and caring, according to a Tuscaloosa News report today.
"He was one of those people who made those around him better," the Rev.
Robert Mercer, who was Miller's youth minister while the young man attended
Hoover High School, told the Tuscaloosa News.
Mercer, who attended the University of Alabama, was an associate pastor
of Helena United Methodist Church.
